Are fat Christians going to hell for the deadly sins of gluttony, sloth, or do they diet in purgatory first?
You may be surprised to learn that gluttony and sloth are not, in fact, Biblical sins.

1st of all; purgatory is never mentioned in the Bible. 2nd; God does not judge people by their outward appearance, He judges them by their hearts.

Well you are looking at this ONE flaw in ‘them’ thinking that is the WHOLE of who they are. God looks on the heart and the entirety of the person we have become at the end of our lives. I happen to believe it is the more righteous thing to control our appetites in all areas if we wish to be godly and righteous in God’s eyes….but a fat person is enduring, trying, and perhaps THIS particular issue is just something THEY must master in this life.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE to master?
Repentance is a thing for THIS LIFE – not the next BTW.

Yes, he may end up in lower heaven and get cleansed thru fire and then up to Heaven after being squeaky clean… no dieting is allowed in purgatory.

Considering the 7 deadly sins aren’t biblical and are in fact a creation of 4th century monk. They weren’t "deadly sins", they were "evil thoughts" that were later adapted into the 7 Deadly Sins that people recognize today. These sins aren’t deadly to your soul, because they can be forgiven. None of the 7 Deadly Sins are unforgivable, but they can lead your life down a miserable path.
In short, fat Christians are still human, they’re still sinners just like EVERYBODY ELSE, and no, being fat won’t send them to hell. Furthermore, not everybody is fat because they eat a bag of cheetohs and a 2 liter of mountain dew every day. Being overweight and even obese can also be caused by genuine metabolic, hormonal, or mental conditions. You can’t seriously be stupid enough to suggest that somebody with Prader-Willi syndrome will go to hell for a biological condition that will ultimately kill them by the time they’re 12. You can’t seriously be stupid enough to suggest a woman suffering from post-pregnancy hypothyroidism will go to hell for being fat because her meds make her sick and her metabolism is so abysmally slow that diet and exercise aren’t enough. You can’t seriously be suggesting somebody who let themselves go to the point that their metabolism virtually shuts down and can no longer lose weight without surgical intervention or literally starving themselves nearly to death, somebody who has lost faith in themselves at this point, will go to hell.
This question is so completely asinine, juvenile, and petty that it disgusts me.
