If God hates sin but loves the sinner then what is the point of having seven deadly sins?
This statement seems so contradictory it is almost laughable. If this is true then as long as you repent and confess your sins then you are forgiven and loved? Is their any reasonable explanation out there?

Thier are countless contradictions in the bible. Its only a matter of time before mankind realizes this and turns to science for real answers.

The idea of sin or ’seven deadly sins’ (unbiblical, but anyway) is to illustrate that we are all flawed and are all sinners.

I think that Luke 19-27 pretty well sums up christianity and all religions for that matter.

yes, but in real world you can’t know whether someone has understood their mistakes, for example if a murderer says "forgive me I made a stupid mistake and I feel sorry" then no one would believe them, that’s human nature, but you never know if they really have understood what they have done and really feel sorry, only God knows how these people feel in these situations
when you ask for apology because you don’t want to go to prison, this is not "understanding my mistakes" but "scared of getting buttraeped in prison"

there isnt seven deadly sins that is a lie all sin is deadly not just the list of seven that sombody made up sin kills thats why god doesnt want us to do it he loves us and wants us to do right to protect us

The "seven deadly sins" are not in the Bible.
They were put together by the pope long after the Bible was written.
They started as the eight temptations and then were condensed and made deadly sins later.

That list is merely (and quite reasonably) outlining some of the outworkings of sin.
Just because you do not grasp something, why should it make it contradictory?

let me rephrase it in such as way you might understand:-
"If Teachers hates wrong answers but loves the student then what is the point of having Exams?
This statement seems so contradictory it is almost laughable. If this is true then as long as you learn from your mistakes and don’t repeat them in the next exam you might get a better grade? Is their any reasonable explanation out there?"
-sure it makes reasonable sense to me

If you are truly sincere and ask for forgiveness yes he will forgive you. And if you bring up your sin again he will ask, "What sin?" It’s like loving a toilet. Sorry for a bad metaphore, but it’s like it. You love how pretty the toilet looks and such, but you don’t like what’s inside it (Urine and BM). So, the only way to get rid of it is to flush (ask for forgiveness) and it’s gone.

Actually I think you have just described the SECOND GREATEST of all sins, the sin against Hope called Presumption, which the Bible threatens with unbelievable force. You are calling God stupid and that brings great punishment.

Say not: "I have sinned, yet what has befallen me?" for the LORD bides his time.

Of forgiveness be not overconfident, adding sin upon sin.
6
Say not: "Great is his mercy; my many sins he will forgive."
7
For mercy and anger alike are with him; upon the wicked alights his wrath.
8
Delay not your conversion to the LORD, put it not off from day to day;
9
For suddenly his wrath flames forth; at the time of vengeance, you will be destroyed.
