Not exactly … Not exactly schizophrenic. She is “of two minds”. This is a satire about the petit bourgeois, who preach one thing, yet do the expedient “evil” things when it is necessary to get ahead. In short, it’s political-philosophical instead of psychological.
I didn’t realize it … I didn’t realize it with Nora Kimball and Teresa Stratas that Anna is probably schizophrenic…. Even when the family speaks about Anna, there is only one mentioned. This is Elise Ross?
Can you tell me any … Can you tell me any more about this film version? I have the Sellars-Stratas-Nagano version and love Stratas’s performance in it, but I cannot get enough of this show!
