  1. Jesus Christ has obtained eternal forgiveness for all sins!

…only if you believe ancient myths are true.

  4. Yes, everyone has performed it, no, we do not all belong in Hell because of it. Often, as far as food is concerned, eating more than you need to is just building up a healthy reserve.
Nature has decided that our bodies sometimes have a long wait between meals. In a hunter/gatherer society, hunters eat well when the hunting is good, but if it isn’t, and you don’t have any excess fat to burn to provide energy for the next hunt, you starve, (or hope the fruits & nuts are in season).

As for the 7 deadly sins. They were written by employers and slave owners.
Wrath – you’ll be easier to control if you’re docile.
Greed – settle for low pay & bad conditions.
Sloth – work harder, it means more money in my back pocket.
Pride – humbly accept that your place is beneath me. That way you’ll never be my business competitor.
Lust – don’t waste your time thinking about that. Get out there and plough that field.
Envy – don’t desire things I have no intention of paying for.
Gluttony – that slop you eat costs me money, next you’ll be wanting food every day.

  6. Well, yes and no. "For all have sinned…" Romans 3:23. Whether it be from gluttony or no. I’d say the more common sin is pride. At any rate, yes, for whatever sin we have, we belong in Hell. "For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23. Lucky for us, God loves us and we can be saved from those sins by turning to God in Jesus. Check out John 3:16 ( yeah the one on the billboards.)

  7. there isn’t a sin that cant be forgiven because of Jesus’s death and resurrection for us. The reason that the are considered "The Seven Deadly Sins" is because the are the ones that are a lot more common in humanity and we should look out for them.

  8. We all belong in hell because we’ve sinned, period. The sin itself doesn’t matter.

Jesus said that we’re all sinners, and that we’re all condemned ALREADY.

I think gluttony is a bad idea because its unhealthy, I’m not concerned with hell.

The Seven Deadly Sins is not a Biblical concept and therefore not of interest to most Christians.

But during the centuries when the 7 Deadly Sins were developed and emphasized, the key issue with gluttony was the idea of SELFISH OVERCONSUMPTION — which was especially promising when most families were poor and had many children and scarce food supplies meant that one person’s overindulgence put EVERYONE at real risk for starvation. So GLUTTONY is a reasonable concern and involves the sins of selfishness, greed/theft, and when applied to rich and "extravagant" foods, sensuality to excess.

However, it sounds like you have misunderstood Christian doctrine as to what leads to judgment eternally in hell. It is not a matter of a particular group of the "7 worst sins". It is a matter of rejecting the sacrificial gift of Jesus Christ on the cross as payment for one’s sins. Otherwise, ALL sin sends people to hell. (Just ONE sin makes one deserving of hell, according to the Bible.)

no. not for wasting a little bit of food. I think what that passage as sin is referring to is just eating, drinking and being merry for it’s own sake without thought.

    no
    it not true.
God forgives sins to those that forsake them

glutonny is NOT the same thing as eating a turkey dinner
    wasting food is NOT gluttony

part of the passover meal is where everyone must finish the lamb before the night is done, this is not gluttony
