We want to all have name tags that say "Hello my name is…." We have only thought of one for Lust, "Hello my name is…I want what you have." Can anyone think of any creative ideas for our name tags?? Thank you soooo much:)

The problem is, do baptists teach the seven deadly sins or just catholics?

the seven deadly sins are: wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony. i am neither baptist nor catholic (non denominational mostly) but the average person i would say commits one or more of these sins a number of times throughout life. if i had to put my honest opinion on it i would say catholics stress on the seven deadly sins more so.

The tragic flaw of both Ophelia and Hamlet was being untrue to themselves by being too obedient to their fathers. Ophelia let her father tell her what to think:

OPHELIA
I do not know, my lord, what I should think.
LORD POLONIUS
Marry, I’ll teach you: think yourself a baby;

Thereafter she was just a puppet to her father:

HAMLET
I could interpret between you and your love, if I
could see the puppets dallying.

After her father died, Ophelia was like a puppet with its strings cut, so when she fell into the "weeping brook," she made no effort to save herself. At that point, she was suffering from the sin of acedia.

"sin" is in the eye of the beholder, so to speak.

sin is a wrongdoing, or anything that LEADS you to a wrongdoing. in some religions, even THINKING about doing it is as bad as actually doing it, since it may lead you to ultimately DO it.

thus, in those religions, envy would be a sin, because it is deeply desiring something you don’t have, which may lead you to STEAL it in the future at some point. for this reason, envy is frowned upon, because there is no way to know for certain that you will be able to withstand the temptation involved.
